And if you want to know how they did the handclaps look no further than this video (anybody else think that Ryan Spendlove looks like he has no sense of rhythm?)

I love this song. Aren't trumpets just the greatest thing?

A great live act as well.

Turn It On Again - Buffalo Bones

This lot are fantastically rock'n'roll. Especially the lead singer.

This video captures the excitement of their live set. 

And then spoils it a bit at the end when we find out how polite the singer is in reality.

Richard Hawley's taken a bit of a left turn with his latest album. Its good though. 

Here's a clip of him from Later. Anybody else think that the main riff in this song is from an old Stooges number?

Let Me On My Way - Misery Guts

As mentioned elsewhere the name Misery Guts isn't too promising. However don't let that put you off. They are a really good act with some quality songs.

Car Song - RM Hubbert

RM Hubbert was an unexpected live treat at a gig in the Hop in September.

This is his big single featuring Aidan Moffat (of Arab Strap fame) on vocals.

Romance is Dead - The Grand

A Wakefield band who specialise in epic pop. This is their latest single.

The video is one of those 'recording the song' films. Guest starring Jonny Firth, Jamie Lockhart and Rob Slater.

I'll finish up with Lisa Hannigan. This song is one of my favourites by her.
