Here's a compilation of some of the music that caught my attention since the last time I did one of these things.

The links to the songs are in the headings.

Facing West - The Staves

Ok these girls seem a bit too good to be true. Still you can't deny how good this sounds.

Lonely This December - Mi Mye

Here's a nice little video of Jamie Lockhart and the gang rehearsing for their Xmas show back in 2011.

Unmade Bed - David Broad and Serious Sam Barrett

Here's David and Sam playing in Folkstone by the sea. The wind, birdsong and occasional dog bark make for atmospheric backing!

Rest Easy - Rosie Doonan

My favourite song off Rosie's latest album. She's a real trooper continuing through this ballad over the massed chatter off stage!

Tobacco - Sentimentalists

Sentimentalists are a band on Sound Shack Records.

I'm not completely convinced of this band or song but this is one of the more entertaining videos that I've seen recently.

Inbetweens - The Withered Hand

I caught up with the Withered Hand at the second attempt in the Hop in Wakefield. A good live act with a a lot of religous imagery running through his lyrics. This song is an exception.

The World Hates Me - Sam Forrest

Summat a bit different here. Live Sam Forrest may come across as another mopey singer songwriter but his recorded work betrays his grunge background.

Woodhouse - Hot Feet

A bit of quality folk rock to finish up from Hot Feet. It is a bit of a rubbish name for a band but this song is well worth checking out.

They are great live as well.
